President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, paid a visit to the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence on Saturday, October 25, 2025, to engage with players and officials taking part in the ongoing MTN Elite U19 Championship.
The GFA President made a brief stop at the GFAs' Technical Centre in Prampram to witness Matchday Two of the prestigious youth competition, which serves as a key platform for discovering and nurturing the next generation of football talents across the country.
During his visit, President Okraku interacted warmly with players and officials of Brong Ahafo and Northern Region ahead of their much-anticipated encounter. His words of encouragement and motivation appeared to have an immediate effect, as Brong Ahafo went on to secure a commanding 5â0 victory in their opening match of the tournament.
Accompanied by his Chief of Staff, Michael Osekre, President Kurt Okraku used the opportunity to inspire the young footballers to remain disciplined, focused and committed to personal and professional growth. He reiterated the GFA’s commitment to supporting youth development initiatives that strengthen the foundations of Ghanaian football.
The MTN Elite U19 Championship, which runs from October 23 to November 2, 2025, features ten Regional Football Association (RFA) U-19 teams from across the country. The competition provides a vital platform for Ghana’s most promising young players to showcase their abilities, gain valuable competitive experience, and catch the attention of national youth team coaches and professional scouts.
