President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, has praised the Ghanaian media for their continuous support and professional engagement, describing them as essential partners in the country's football growth.
Speaking at a lively press soiree on Wednesday night at the Gold Coast Restaurant in Accra, President Simeon-Okraku expressed deep appreciation to journalists, editors and broadcasters for their dedication, balanced reporting and passion for the game.
"I want to thank each and every one of you for the massive show of support," he said. "I also want to thank those who criticise us and plead that it’s done constructively, because your input helps us build a stronger football ecosystem."
The event, which also had GFA Vice President Mark Addo and members of the Executive Council in attendance, created an atmosphere of camaraderie and open dialogue between the Association and the media.
Simeon-Okraku reaffirmed the GFA’s commitment to engaging the media as an important partner in advancing transparency and progress in Ghana football.
"The Football Association will continue to engage the media as an important partner in the advancement of the game," he stated.
This follows Ghana's qualification to the 2026 FIFA World Cup earlier this month.
