Black Queens head coach, Kim Lars Bjorkegren, says fans can expect a determined and hard-working performance from his side when they take on Egypt in the 2026 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifier.
The Swedish tactician praised his players’ fighting spirit and resilience, noting that the team has developed a strong mentality to overcome difficult moments in games.
"You can expect always a hard-working team that’s going to do everything we can to win. We have shown that even if we are struggling a little bit in the game, we always come back, and that shows that we have a great fighting spirit, that we’re fighting for each other and do everything to win every single game," Bjorkegren said.
Ghana, who finished third at the previous WAFCON in Morocco, will face Egypt in the first leg in Ismailia before returning to Accra for the second leg on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. The Black Queens are aiming to secure qualification for the continental showpiece once again.
