Mohammed Kudus has credited Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank as a major factor behind his decision to join the club this summer.
The Ghana international, who arrived from West Ham United in a £55 million deal, revealed to Sports Illustrated that Frank’s reputation for developing attacking players convinced him Spurs was the right destination.
“Looking at his work at Brentford with attackers, I can name so many; [Bryan] Mbeumo, Ivan Toney, [Mikkel] Damsgaard. So many attackers I’ve seen, his development with them has been really, really massive,” Kudus explained.
The 24-year-old midfielder believes Frank’s attacking philosophy suits his game perfectly. “So I thought that he’d be the perfect guy to help with my development. And how he wants his attackers to play, I think I have the qualities to play like that and that’s how I want to play.”
Kudus has already made an instant impact in north London, establishing himself as a key creative force in Spurs’ frontline, with three goal contributions, having created 12 chances.
