Semper Fi assistant coach Moses Adjin-Tettey has praised his side’s performance despite being held to a 1-1 draw by True Democracy in their Access Bank Division One League Zone III opener on Sunday.
Reflecting on the game, Adjin-Tettey admitted it was as tough as they expected but felt his team could have taken all three points.
“It was a game which we expected it to be. A tough game, high intensity, high-level football,” he said. “Unfortunately, we had the chance to take the three points, but one or two players were off tactically, then the opponent had a few minutes of dominance and equalised. We had chances but couldn’t capitalise, and the game ended in a draw.”
Looking ahead, Adjin-Tettey acknowledged the challenge of facing Accra Lions next but expressed confidence in his side’s ability to learn and improve.
“The next game is going to be a tough one. Accra Lions is not an easy opponent; it is always a tactical game. But if we do our adjustments well and learn from this game, we can prepare properly and win,” he added.
