The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has named 20 promising referees from its Catch Them Young Refereeing Policy to officiate at the 2025 KGL Foundation Inter-Regional U-17 Colts Tournament, reinforcing its commitment to grooming the next generation of match officials.
The group, comprising both centre and assistant referees, will gain valuable experience and exposure as they manage matches in this prestigious youth competition.
Scheduled for September 19â27, 2025, the tournament will be held at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram and will feature U-17 teams from all ten Regional Football Associations along with two GFA Elite Academies.
Now in its fifth edition, the championship remains a premier platform for discovering and nurturing young football talent, with scouts and national team coaches expected to be in attendance in search of future stars for Ghana’s junior national sides.
This year’s event promises an exciting showcase of emerging footballers and referees, highlighting the GFA’s dual commitment to developing both players and match officials who will shape the future of Ghanaian football.
