
Medeama Sporting Club are leading the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League table after the opening weekend of the season.
The Tarkwa-based outfit commenced the new league season on Sunday, September 14, with a clash against Young Apostles away from home.
Thanks to goals from Jacob Mensah and Paul Yeboah in the 16th and 62nd minutes respectively, Medeama SC cruised to a vital win, securing all three points to kick off their campaign on a positive note.
For being the only side that scored twice and kept a clean sheet on the opening weekend, Medeama SC top the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League standings after Week 1.
Following wins for Gold Stars, Nations FC, and Asante Kotoko, the teams join Medeama SC in the top four of the league table.

Berekum Chelsea, Dreams FC, and Young Apostles find themselves in the relegation zone after Week 1.
