
The Paramount Chief of the Mamprugu Traditional Area, Nayiri Abdulai Mahami Bohagu Sheriga, has urged former Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, to exercise patience in all his leadership pursuits.
He emphasized that a leader must possess the quality of patience to effectively engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
He made the call during a courtesy visit by the former Vice President to the Nayiri’s palace in Nalerigu, following his attendance at various social events in the region and in Tamale on Sunday.
“If you aspire to hold a leadership position, it is essential to have the patience to accept people regardless of their backgrounds,” he remarked.
The Nayiri said patience was fundamental to achieving success in all aspects of life.
He also expressed a personal connection to Dr Bawumia, referring to him as his son, which underscored the importance of offering fatherly advice.
The Nayiri noted that the former Vice President is a composed individual and expressed hope that he would heed the counsel provided.
He assured Dr Bawumia of their continued prayers for his success in all his endeavours.
In response, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia expressed his gratitude to the Nayiri for the paternal guidance he received.
He committed to taking the advice seriously throughout his journey. Dr Bawumia also conveyed his appreciation for the Nayiri’s good health and affirmed that they would continue to seek his blessings as they pursue their future aspirations.
