A former Minister of Food and Agriculture in the John Mahama government, Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Limuna, has been nominated as the Sandapewura of the Damongo Traditional Area.
The nomination was made by Damongowura Seidu Kelly Boresa.
The Sandapewura is the Chief of Staff of the Damongo Paramountcy.
The nomination of Alhaji Limuna, who is the Founder and Chairman of Damongo-based Kasha 99.5 FM, is in recognition of his contribution to the socioeconomic development of the traditional area and beyond.
The enskinment is expected to be held after the Holy month of Ramadan in Damongo, the traditional capital of Gonja and the Savannah Region.
He will thereafter act as the second-in-command in the council of elders of the Damongo Traditional Council.
Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Limuna was born on August 8, 1967, in Damongo Langbonto and is the great-grandson of Damongo Wura Dange.
A high delegation within and outside Ghana is expected to grace the enskinment ceremony, ranging from politicians, businessmen, philanthropists, and distinguished well-wishers.
