The Ashanti Regional Football Association (ARFA) has held its Ordinary Session of Congress to climax its activities for the 2023-24 football season and usher in a new campaign.
Chairman of ARFA, Osei Tutu Agyemang, presided over the Congress, which took place at the Kumasi Anglican (KASS) Assembly Hall.
In his welcome address, Chairman Osei Tutu Agyemang, commended the GFA for its immense support for the Regional Football Association, highlighting logistical and financial support to cover various activities of the regional association.
The GFA Executive Council member, Mrs Gifty Oware Mensah, who represented President, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, commended the Ashanti -RFA for their commitment, dedication and proactiveness to the activities of the governing body.
She then encouraged the regional body to prioritise branding and marketing in order to enhance the image of the association.
She pledged the FA’s continued support for the RFAs in the area of officiating fees, logistics, subventions, monthly allowances for RFA Chairmen, their Vice Chairman, Referees Managers, amongst others.
She said Juvenile/Colts football has been on the front burner under President Kurt Simeon- Okraku’s administration, with pivotal competitions such as KGL Inter Regional Colts Championship, FIFA TDS Elite U15 Girls Championship, KGL Regional Inter Clubs Championship and Elite U15 Boys Championship being rolled out. –Ghanafa.org
