The President of Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, will address the 30th Ordinary Session of Congress of the association today.
He would be expected to provide an update on strategic initiatives being implemented and new ideas to be discussed and affirmed for execution during the main convocation today.
He will discuss, amongst others, strategic elements of phase two of the GFA’s agenda of fixing the fundamentals of Ghana football whilst consolidating gains made since the last congress was held on July 10, 2023 in Kumasi.
The 30th Ordinary Congress of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) will span two days, comprising an extended programme of events for delegates that started yesterday.
Monday’s activities were a combination of fun-filled games to be engaged in, after group discussions on topical issues impacting Ghana football.
There will also be a presentation, photo session, interviews, and the sod cutting for the construction of a modern gymnasium and swimming pool.
Delegates will also visit areas of the refurbished accommodation facilities.
Mr Simeon-Okraku is scheduled to attend meetings during the two-day period, and also participate in the special fun games lined up.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) free License D Coaching Course in the Volta Region is set to start tomorrow and end on September 4.
This initiative is part of the GFA’s ongoing efforts to enhance grassroots football coaching across the country.
It will attract 40 participants, comprising 30 colts coaches and 10 female coaches, a statement from the FA has said.
Beyond the standard coaching curriculum, the participants will also engage in GFA/FIFA Safeguarding training. This critical aspect of the course is designed to equip coaches with the skills necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of young players, promoting a secure environment within the sport.
In attendance would be seasoned instructors, including Charles Anokye Frimpong and Samuel Avorgah, who bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the programme.–Ghanafa.org
