President John Dramani Mahama has made further changes to his government, reassigning two ministers and a deputy minister to new roles.
The changes, announced by the Jubilee House, take immediate effect.
Under the latest reshuffle, the Minister for Labour, Employment and Job Creation, Abdul-Rashid Pelpuo, has been reassigned as Minister of State for Special Initiatives.
He will be replaced at the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Job Creation by Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum.
In another change, Deputy Minister for Defence Ernest Brogya Genfi has been reassigned to serve as Presidential Advisor on National Resilience and Emergency Preparedness.
The Jubilee House statement did not give reasons for the latest changes or indicate whether further ministerial adjustments are expected.
The latest changes add to President Mahama’s ongoing reorganisation of his administration since assuming office.
The reassignments take immediate effect.
