The Circuit Court 3 in Accra, presided over by Her Honour Susana Eduful, has granted a GH¢400,000 bail to a Chinese national and former sales manager of Kunda Manufacturing & Trading Limited, Ending Wang, who has been charged with stealing and possession of forged documents.
Wang pleaded not guilty to the charges. As part of his bail conditions, he is to provide two sureties who earn not less than GH¢4,000 each and deposit his passport with the court registry.
The case has been adjourned to January 12, 2026. He is facing two counts: stealing and possession of forged documents.
According to Chief Inspector Wisdom Alorwu, who presented the case for the prosecution, the complainant, Wu Jiannan, is the financial manager of Kunda Manufacturing & Trading Limited. The accused, also a Chinese national, served as a sales manager with the company and resided at Spintex.
The prosecution said Kunda, on or before September 12, 2024, sold one truck head and a 6×4 reinforced Tipper Truck to Wilago Enterprise for US$153,000 on credit.
Wilago was required to make an initial deposit of US$76,500 and pay the remaining balance in monthly instalments of US$l6,375 into the company’s Ecobank or Access Bank accounts, as contained in the signed sales agreement.
However, in July 2025, the company’s finance department detected payment defaults and contacted Wilago Enterprise, only to discover that the company had paid GH¢343,000 into Wang’s personal Ecobank and mobile money accounts, rather than into Kunda’s accounts.
Investigations revealed that on February 27, 2025 Wang instructed Wilago Enterprise to channel all future monthly payments into his personal Ecobank account number 1441004766107 and his mobile money number 0539282430, both bearing his name – contrary to the official agreement.
A court order served on Ecobank Ghana and MTN Ghana led to disclosures confirming that GH¢293,000 had been paid into Wang’s bank account and GH¢50,000 into his mobile money account.
The prosecution said a forensic audit conducted by Ashong Nkrumah & Associates confirmed Wang’s dishonest appropriation of GH¢343,000, representing part of the payment for the two trucks purchased by Wilago Enterprise.
Possession of Forged Sales Agreement
Further investigations uncovered a forged sales agreement for the sale of a 4-axle flatbed truck, purportedly between Kunda Manufacturing & Trading Limited and Wilago Enterprise, found in Wang’s possession.
Wang was arrested on October 7, 2025, following an official complaint lodged by Kunda. After investigations, he was charged and brought before the court.
The case continues on January 12, 2026.
