His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, together with his wife Lady Julia Osei Tutu have cast their ballots at the Manhyia Palace Polling Station, as the media thronged to the scene to catch a glimpse of the development.
The Ashanti King and his wife voted about 1154 hrs GMT, having gone through voting proceedings at the polling station which is adjacent the Manhyia Stool Lands Secretariat, Kumasi.
Right after Opemsuo and his wife had voted, a sleek Mercedes Benz saloon drove the Asante hemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, to the polling station, where she voted amidst tight security.
Asantehene expressed appreciation to staff of the E.C at the polling station. He also smiled and waved at bystanders at the polling station.
Asantehene was accompanied by the Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh the running mate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Agyei Baffour Awauh the Parliamentary Candidate for Manhyia North.
