Swedru All Blacks secured their second consecutive away victory after defeating Eleven Wonders 2-0 at the University of Ghana Stadium on Friday afternoon, with forward Rudolf Mensah scoring both goals.
Mensah broke the deadlock in the 26th minute, producing a brilliant near-post finish after beating his marker, before sealing the result in the 65th minute with a simple tap-in, confirming the visitors’ superiority on the day.
The defeat ends Wonders’ brief resurgence, which had included a draw and their first win of the campaign against Dreams FC. Despite controlling 53% of possession, they struggled to convert chances into goals. They recorded eight total shots, five on target, while All Blacks remained more clinical with seven shots, four on target.
Both sides produced a competitive midfield battle, reflected in the two yellow cards each and a close tally in set pieces, with Wonders earning four corners to All Blacks’ three.
The win elevates Swedru All Blacks to fourth on the league table and extends their unbeaten run to four matches. It also marks their second straight triumph at the Legon venue, having defeated Dreams FC two weeks earlier.
Eleven Wonders, now bottom of the table, will need a swift improvement to avoid deeper relegation trouble. All Blacks head home with confidence building and momentum clearly on their side.
