Medeama coach Ibrahim Tanko is clear about what his team must do as they prepare to face Berekum Chelsea at home.
For him, the goal is simple: take charge of the game and turn chances into goals.
Tanko stressed that their approach will not change, even though this fixture carries extra meaning. Berekum Chelsea beat Medeama in Tarkwa last season, a result the players have not forgotten. With Medeama sitting top of the league with 23 points from 12 matches, the coach believes the team must show authority in front of their fans.
"I mean and the approach is the same like any other game. We are playing home. We want to control the game. We want to create more chances to score goals. So there's nothing new. We knew that and they are the ones who beat us here the last year. So definitely we are going to prepare well for them and we need the three points of course," he told Medeama TV.
Saturday’s clash offers Medeama a chance to protect their lead and respond to last year’s setback with a strong performance.
