Former Ghana international Nii Odartey Lamptey has criticized Eleven Wonders’ management over their treatment of players.
The Ghana Premier League newcomers have been in the spotlight for negative reasons after ex-coach J.E. Sarpong revealed that players were not properly fed and were owed salaries.
Lamptey, who was appointed head coach after the club’s promotion to the top flight, parted ways with Eleven Wonders following a disappointing start to the 2025/26 season, leaving the side without a victory in nine games.
Speaking on the situation, Lamptey did not hold back, questioning the club’s leadership.
"I just hope that things will change at the club because the handlers of the team, someone is a Member of Parliament, and someone else is also serving as a Member Council of State, so why should this be happening? he questioned during an interview with Asempa FM.
"Sometimes, I ask myself questions because if you cannot manage 30 players, then I am sorry.
"I am an illiterate, and I have over 60 players I am managing at my academy. So if an illiterate can do that, how much more people like you?" he added.
Eleven Wonders currently sit at the bottom of the league table with three points from 11 matches. They will take on Dreams FC in Matchday 12 at the University of Ghana Stadium.
