Asante Kotoko captain Samba O’Neil has stressed the importance of winning their outstanding league match against Young Apostles after back-to-back draws in the Ghana Premier League.
The Porcupine Warriors, after securing a delightful 1-0 win over bitter rivals Hearts of Oak, have failed to win any of their last two matches.
On Sunday, the Reds were held to a 1-1 draw by Aduana FC in their Week 10 league fixture played at Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Samba O’Neil, who was named Man of the Match, admitted that the result was not the best.
He wants the team to continue working hard to improve to ensure they return to winning ways in their next match against Young Apostles.
“We are playing at home, so we wanted to win. The result is not good for us. We wanted to win, that’s why we fought hard.
“Every day we need to improve. In that game against Young Apostles, we need to win, so we need to improve to do that,” Samba O’Neil said.
The outstanding Week 6 league fixture between Asante Kotoko and Young Apostles will kick off at 3 pm on Wednesday, November 19.
