Goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has finally joined the Black Stars camp in Japan ahead of Friday’s international friendly against Japan in the Kirin Challenge Cup.
The Hearts of Oak shot-stopper arrived on Thursday morning and is expected to join the team’s final training session on Thursday at the Toyota Stadium in Aichi.
Asare’s arrival completes the squad, bringing the number of players in camp to 22. He played a crucial role in Ghana’s qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, making six appearances and keeping five clean sheets.
The Black Stars will face Japan on Friday, November 14, 2025, before taking on South Korea four days later as part of their build-up to next year’s World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
