Prince Adu Kwabena has expressed delight following his arrival in camp ahead of Ghana's international friendlies against Asian heavyweights Japan and South Korea.
The red-hot Viktoria Plzen striker received his maiden Black Stars invite for the Kirin Cup tournament after a fine start to the season in Czech and Europe.
The 22-year-old has already netted six goals including one in the Europa League this season.
With Inaki Williams, Jordan Ayew and Mohammed Kudus all absent from the squad, the ex-Bechem United is expected to seize the opportunity to earn a permanent place in the team.
Ahead of Friday's game against Japan, he posted on Instagram expressing confidence as he touched down in Nagoya.
"Duty," he wrote with a photo of himself in camp for the first time.
Meanwhile, the head coach of the national team will use the friendlies to test the new players in the team.
Also joining the squad for the first time are CF Montreal striker Prince Owusu, a former Germany youth international, and Medeama's teen sensation Kelvin Nkrumah.
The Black Stars will engage South Korea four days after the Japan clash.
