Argentina will be without Atletico Madrid trio Julian Alvarez, Nahuel Molina, and Giuliano Simeone for Friday’s friendly against Angola in Luanda.
The Argentine Football Association (AFA) confirmed the players missed the necessary health procedures related to the yellow fever vaccine, which is required to enter Angola.
Yellow fever is a mosquito-borne viral disease present in parts of Africa and South America, and vaccination is mandatory for travellers to those regions.
"The players did not complete in time the health procedures related to the yellow fever vaccine, which is required to enter Angola," the AFA said.
The world champions, who have already qualified for the 2026 World Cup in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada, will face Angola without the three Atletico stars.
