Sports Minister Kofi Adams has revealed that Ghana will play more international friendlies to prepare effectively for the next World Cup.
He added that Ghana will play only competitive sides to put the squad in good shape for the World Cup.
"So the way to success is training and more trial matches unfortunately Africa is assembling in Morocco for the African Cup we are not part. We will not get the opportunity to try our players there to see how well if we had qualified for African Cup of Nations we will say at least group stages three games we will get it for free," he told Peace FM as monitored by Ghanasoccernet.com
"We will play if we perform well we will go to the quarterfinal, to semis and the to finals we would have gotten some six or seven to play and to try our players. unfortunately we are not part so we have lost that the only other way is to play more friendlies with competitive countries this week we are playing Japan then next week we play Korea,"
Several key players, including Alexander Djiku, Thomas Partey, Jordan Ayew, Fatawu Issahaku, Joseph Paintsil, and Mohammed Kudus, have withdrawn from the squad due to injuries.
Ghana faces Japan on November 14 and South Korea on November 18.
