Dreams FC coach Winfred Dormon has admitted his side’s poor decision-making in attack cost them victory in their 1-1 draw with Karela United on Sunday.
The Still Believe lads came from behind to earn a point at the Aliu Mahama Stadium after Malik Abubakar’s early strike was cancelled out by Seidu Suraj soon after the restart.
Despite showing resilience, Dormon said his players failed to capitalise on key moments that could have turned the result in their favour.
“Our game plan was to stay compact, contain them, and hit in transition,” Dormon explained.
“In the first half, Karela were right in the game because we didn’t play well. What hurt us most was our decision-making in the final third.”
The coach, however, expressed optimism about his side’s progress, noting recent improvements in their attacking play.
“In our last two games, we’ve scored three goals, which shows our progress,” he added.
“This team has a lot of potential - we’ll keep pushing and focus on maintaining consistency, because that’s what truly matters.”
The draw leaves Karela in ninth position, while Dreams FC sit 13th.
Dormon’s men next host Hohoe United, hoping to build momentum and climb the Premier League standings.
