Coventry City manager Frank Lampard has expressed his determination to keep prolific forward Brandon Thomas-Asante despite mounting interest from several clubs ahead of the January window.
The Ghana international has been one of the standout performers in the Championship this season, scoring ten goals in fourteen appearances to lead the scoring charts.
His consistency and sharp finishing have made him a central figure in Lampard’s plans as Coventry push for a return to the Premier League.
Reports suggest Leeds United are weighing up an approach for the 26-year-old as they seek to strengthen their attacking options for the second half of the campaign.
However, Thomas-Asante remains under contract until 2028, a factor that could complicate any potential deal.
Lampard, mindful of the forward’s impact, has no intention of losing his key striker midway through the season.
Thomas-Asante’s impressive club form has also captured attention at international level, with the striker expected to feature for Ghana in their upcoming friendlies against Japan and South Korea.
He has been in outstanding form, scoring 10 goals in 15 Championship appearances to top the league’s scoring charts.
