Leeroy Owusu found the net in Odense Boldklub’s thrilling 4-2 victory over FC Nordsjaelland at the Right to Dream Park in Round 14 of the Danish Superligaen.
The Dutch-Ghanaian defender struck in the 53rd minute with a calm finish to the bottom left corner after being set up by Jay-Roy Grot, giving OB a 2-1 lead. His goal sparked confidence in the team and delighted OB supporters who had travelled to Farum.
Nordsjaelland had taken an early lead through Nicklas Røjkjær in the 16th minute, but Grot’s long-range strike after halftime levelled the game. Owusu’s well-timed run and precise shot completed the turnaround before Grot added two more goals in the 78th and 89th minutes to seal his hat-trick.
Prince Amoako scored for Nordsjaelland in between, but OB’s counter-attacking power proved too much.
Owusu’s composed display at right-back highlighted his growing influence this season. OB, now full of momentum, will next face Silkeborg on November 7th.
