Basake Holy Stars assistant coach Rashad Musah has bemoaned the team’s profligacy in front of goal following their 3-0 defeat to Heart of Lions in the Ghana Premier League.
Holy Stars faced Heart of Lions on Friday afternoon in a Week 7 encounter of the 2025/26 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign.
Despite matching the opponent, the visitors suffered a 3-0 defeat at the end of the contest, having wasted some good goal-scoring opportunities.
Speaking in a post-match interview, assistant coach Rashad Musah expressed his satisfaction with the performance of the Holy Stars players.
He, however, rued the missed chances that led to the defeat at the end of the contest.
“I think the performance was not bad. Because looking at how we started the game, we started on a positive note until the 35th, 40th minutes, when we conceded the first goal. The boys lost concentration, but we encouraged them at halftime to come back and start like how we did in the first half.
“Unfortunately, we didn’t have it like the first half. We had a couple of chances, but we failed to capitalise on them. We have to go back and see what happens in our next game,” coach Rashad Musah shared.
The defeat to Heart of Lions on Friday means Holy Stars are without a win after the first six matches of the season.
The team has one outstanding match against Asante Kotoko.
