Coventry City manager Frank Lampard has heaped praise on Ghanaian forward Brandon Thomas-Asante following his blistering goalscoring form in the English Championship.
Thomas-Asante netted twice in Coventry’s victory over Portsmouth on Tuesday night, helping the Sky Blues stretch their lead at the top of the table to four points.
"All credit to him because he works so hard,” Lampard said in the post-match interview.
"You move him around and nothing changes - he's effective in the 10, on the sides, up front, his pressing is great.
"You can see his talent. He needs to keep going with that.”
The 25-year-old has now scored eight goals and provided three assists this season, making him one of the standout performers in the league.
Thomas-Asante’s exploits have also earned him a place in history as the first Ghanaian since Patrick Agyemang in 2017 to score seven or more goals in the opening 11 Championship games of a season.
The in-form striker will look to continue his scoring streak when Coventry host Watford at the Coventry Building Society Arena on Saturday.
