Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito says his side is fully prepared to face Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca in the CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary round.
The Porcupine Warriors will host the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, October 19, 2025, before travelling to Morocco for the decisive return fixture a week later.
Zito, who guided his side past Nigeria’s Kwara United in the previous round, is confident his players are ready for the challenge and determined to take a crucial step toward the group stage.
“We are definitely ready. We are going to wrap up tomorrow,” Zito told Joy Sports.
“We’ve done all that we’re supposed to do. We’ve studied the game and then put into practice how I would like them to play on Sunday. I think we are all ready.”
The veteran tactician has made qualification to the group stage his team’s minimum target for the campaign, stressing the importance of making their home advantage count before the return leg.
Kotoko will also draw confidence from their impressive displays against Kwara United, where they won 4-3 in Ghana and 1-0 in Abeokuta.
With kickoff set for 15:00 GMT, the Ghanaian giants will look to deliver another disciplined performance as they aim to continue their journey toward continental success.
