Bechem United defender Yaw Acheampong has noted that players are worried about the team’s poor form in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.
Five matches into the Ghanaian top-flight league campaign, the Hunters are without a win.
The challenging start to the league campaign has put massive pressure on head coach Stephen Issah-Botchway, who has been critical of his players, often slamming them for losing concentration during matches.
For Yaw Acheampong, the situation Bechem United find themselves in is very worrying and must change.
“We are all worried about the situation we find ourselves in. To have only two points after five matches is very worrying. The same thing happened last season, so we are praying we can get our first win against Vision FC on Sunday,” the centre-back told Bechem United TV.
Acheampong added, “We are talking among ourselves to ensure we don’t commit any mistakes. We beg the fans to continue supporting us. We are confident that from Sunday onwards the wins will start coming.”
The Week 6 Ghana Premier League encounter between Bechem United and Vision FC will be played on Sunday, October 19.
