Moroccan side Wydad AC have commenced training in Accra ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup playoff first-leg encounter against Asante Kotoko on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The team trained on Thursday afternoon at the University of Ghana Stadium in Legon hours after arriving in the capital earlier in the day. The session focused on light physical work and tactical drills as the North African giants began their preparations for the crucial tie.
Wydad, who arrived early to acclimatise to the weather conditions, are expected to hold at least three training sessions before the game, with their final session scheduled for Saturday at the match venue.

Asante Kotoko, on the other hand, have also been fine-tuning their strategies in Accra as they target a strong performance in the first leg. The Porcupine Warriors are determined to record a convincing win to improve their chances of progressing to the group stage of the competition.
Both teams are expected to field their strongest lineups, with the tie promising to be an intense and entertaining contest between two of Africa’s most successful clubs.
