Asante Kotoko defender Musah Hamzata is on the verge of joining an unnamed Swedish outfit, marking a significant step in his career.
The towering centre-back joined the Porcupine Warriors during the summer transfer window, penning a three-year deal that was supposed to keep him at the club until 2028.
The 22-year-old arrived at Kotoko with enormous experience, having played over 50 matches in the Ghanaian top division.
According to Kessben FM, the former Accra Lions marksman spell at Kotoko is set to be cut short as he closes in on a move to an unnamed club in Sweden.
Hamzata emerged as the hero for Kotoko during an off season game against Bibiani Goldstars. He scored the only goal of the match as the Porcupine Warriors edged the Miners to secure the Champion of Champions title in August 2025.
The defender has made just two appearances across competition for the Ghanaian giants since the commencement of the campaign. He has one appearance each in both Ghana Premier League and CAF Champions League.
His potential switch to Sweden marks his first European adventure and is expected to capitalize on it to attain greater height of his football career.
