The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Ghanaian referee Charles Benle Bulu to take charge of the upcoming CAF Champions League 2025/26 encounter between MC Alger of Algeria and Colombe Sportive du Dja et Lobo of Cameroon.
The fixture is scheduled for Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the Stade Ali Amar in Algiers, where both sides will be seeking an early advantage in the continental competition.
Bulu, one of Ghana’s most experienced referees on the international stage, will be assisted by an all-Ghanaian team. Roland Nil Dodoo Addy has been named as the first assistant referee, while Theophilus Aberenga Akugre will serve as the second assistant referee. Adaari Abdul Latif completes the quartet as the fourth official.
The officiating team will work under the supervision of Commissioner Kokou Djaoupe, while Isaac T. Z. Montgomery has been appointed as the Referee Assessor, responsible for evaluating the performance of the match officials.
The match in Algiers is expected to be fiercely contested, as MC Alger - one of North Africa’s traditional powerhouses - face Cameroonian side Colombe Sportive, who are making steady progress on the continental stage.
