Comoros head coach Stefano Cusin has praised Ghana's football pedigree, highlighting the Black Stars' "wonderful players" and rich history while backing them for success at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The visiting coach made the complimentary remarks after his team's 1-0 defeat to Ghana at the Accra Sports Stadium, a result that secured Ghana's qualification for next year's global tournament in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
"You [Ghana] have wonderful players, you have history, you have experience and everything so I am sure you are going to make a great World Cup," Cusin stated in his post-match assessment.
The victory ensured Ghana finished atop Group I in the African qualifiers, marking their fifth World Cup appearance in the last six tournaments.
While Comoros fell short in their World Cup qualification campaign, they will compete in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, drawn alongside hosts Morocco, Zambia and Mali in Group A.
