Comoros head coach Stefano Cusin has backed Ghana for a strong performance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, pointing to the Black Stars' quality players, rich history, and tournament experience as key factors for success.
The visiting coach made the assessment after his team's 1-0 defeat to Ghana at the Accra Sports Stadium, which secured the Black Stars' qualification for next year's global tournament.
"You [Ghana] have wonderful players, you have history, you have experience and everything, so I am sure you are going to make a great World Cup," Cusin stated in his post-match analysis.
Ghana's victory ensured they finished atop Group I in the African qualifiers, booking their place at a fifth World Cup in the last six editions of the tournament.
While Comoros fell short in their World Cup qualification bid, they will feature in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, drawn in Group A alongside hosts Morocco, Zambia and Mali.
