Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Henry Asante Twum, has assured fans that the Black Stars will approach their final World Cup qualifier against Comoros with full focus and a winning mentality.
Ghana’s resounding 5â0 triumph over the Central African Republic has put them on the brink of qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
The Black Stars now turn their attention to Sunday’s decisive clash at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Despite needing just a point to confirm their place at the global showpiece, Asante Twum insists complacency has no place in the team’s preparations.
“Everyone in camp knows that it is not over yet,” he said in an interview on Asempa FM.
"We are still in contention, and we are heading into the Comoros clash with a winning mentality," he added.
The highly anticipated fixture kicks off at 19:00 GMT, with Ghana currently sitting top of Group I on 22 points.
