The Minister for Sports and Recreation, Honourable Kofi Adams, has congratulated the Black Stars following their thumping victory over the Central African Republic in the penultimate match of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Honourable Adams also urged the team to finish the qualifiers strongly ahead of their final game against Comoros Island on Sunday in Accra.
The Black Stars are on the brink of making a fifth appearance at the tournament after the victory in Meknes on Wednesday.
"JOB DONE IN STYLE! Today, our Black Stars delivered a statement performance; a resounding 5â0 win over the Central African Republic in Morocco. On behalf of the Government of Ghana, I congratulate the team and technical staff for making us proud. We finish strong on Sunday in Accra. Let’s rally behind the Stars," posted the lawmaker on social media.
The four-time African champions currently sit top of Group I with a healthy three points advantage over Madagascar, who would have to beat Mali 8-0 and hope Ghana loses to usurp the Black Stars.
