Asante Kotoko coach Abdul Karim Zito has expressed strong confidence in his team's ability to bounce back immediately after dropping points in their previous Ghana Premier League outing.
The Porcupine Warriors face defending champions Bibiani Gold Stars at the Baba Yara Stadium on Wednesday evening, with Zito emphasising there's no room for excuses following their goalless draw against Heart of Lions.
"This is Asante Kotoko drawing [against Heart of Lions], so Wednesday, there is no excuse; we have to do everything possible to win," Zito declared to club media. "It won't be easy for me, but by all costs I have to win that game."
Kotoko comes into the match with continental momentum, having advanced in the CAF Confederation Cup by defeating Nigeria's Kwara United, while Gold Stars were eliminated from the CAF Champions League. However, the visitors have shown impressive form in the domestic league with two wins from two games despite being without a substantive head coach.
The stage is set for a compelling encounter as Kotoko seeks to build on their Super Cup victory over the same opponents from earlier in the season and reaffirm their title credentials.
