Nations FC were held to a goalless draw by FC Samartex at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on matchday 3 of the Ghana Premier League.
Despite dominating the game and controlling most parts of the match, the hosts failed to take their chances as Samartex left Kumasi with a valuable point.
The home side started the game brightly and came close early through Kelvin Ampoful but the forward's strike was dealt with by Samartex's goalkeeper.
Later in the half, Richard Danso and Faisal Charwetey also tested Samartex's defence but to no avail.
After the break, the visitors started to gain momentum in the match as they matched Nations FC at the other end, with their quick counter-attacking football.
Nations FC coach Kassim Mingle rang in some changes, bringing on more attacker as he chased a winner.
Samartex enforced their defence and were resolute in late parts of the match when Nations FC started to put more pressure on them.
Although the hosts had 12 shots at the end of the game, they could not break an impregnable FC Samartex side, who have drawn all of their three matches in the new season.
