Hearts of Oak youngster Enock Asubonteng was full of praise for his teammates on Friday evening after their hard-fought 1-0 victory against Eleven Wonders in the Ghana Premier League.
The versatile midfielder started for the Phobians today when the team hosted the Week 3 opponent at the Accra Sports Stadium.
In the tough contest that ensued between the two teams, Enock Asubonteng netted the only goal of the game, giving Hearts of Oak all three points.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Asubonteng stressed the importance of the victory, indicating that the team’s resilience and determination to stick to their game plan were key to the triumph.
“Winning this game is very good. The game was very tough, but we stuck to our game plan, and that’s how we won the game. It’s very early in the season, so we cannot say we will win the league, but we are taking it match after match,” Enock Asubonteng said.
With two wins and one draw so far, Hearts of Oak are now top of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League standings.
Up next for the team, they will take on Bechem United in Week 4.
