
Asante Kotoko have left Ghana for Nigeria ahead of the second leg of their CAF Confederation Cup clash against Kwara United.
The Ghanaian giants travel to Abeokuta with a slim advantage from the first leg, following a 4-3 victory at the Accra Sports Stadium last week.
The team led by coach Abdul Karim Zito left Accra on Friday morning with a 20-man, hoping to secure qualification to the next stage.
The game has been scheduled for the MKO Abiola International Stadium in Abeokuta on Sunday, September 28.
Goalkeepers Aziz Haruna Dari and Mohammed Gamara both made the trip, while the defensive unit includes Joseph Amoah, Patrick Asiedu, Musa Hamzata, Zackaria Fuseini, Samba O’Neil, Ansu Henry, Joseph Ablorh, and Lord Amoah.
In midfield, Abdul Karim Zito has named Seth Kwadwo, Lord Hillary Adabo, Gyau Hubert, Emmanuel Antwi, Fuseini Walid Neymar, Amoh Philip, Listowel Hinneh, and Amidu Peter, offering a mix of creativity and steel.
Forwards Donzo Morifing and Albert Amoah will spearhead the attack as Kotoko aim to score crucial away goals in Nigeria.
The winner of the two-legged contest will face Moroccan giants Wydad AC in the next stage.
