Bechem United will be eager to secure their first win of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season when they face Basake Holy Stars at the Nana Gyeabour Park on Sunday.
The Hunters lost their opener to Bibiani Gold Stars, while Basake began with a 1-1 draw against Eleven Wonders.
Although last season’s statistics favour Basake, with one win and a draw from their two league meetings against Bechem, both clubs have since undergone major squad changes, making past numbers less reflective of their current strengths.
Bechem United’s strong home form, highlighted by three straight clean sheets at the Nana Gyeabour Park last term, will give them confidence. Basake, meanwhile, must overcome a worrying run of conceding in their last three away games.
With new faces on both sides, Sunday’s encounter promises fresh storylines and could set the tone for the season ahead.
