Ghanaian left-back Issahaku Yakubu has earned a spot in the Egyptian Premier League Team of the Week after his outstanding display for National Bank of Egypt SC in their emphatic 3-0 victory over Petrojet FC.
The experienced defender was in fine form at the Petrosport Stadium on Sunday, contributing both defensively and offensively to guide Bank Al Ahly to their second win of the season.
His moment of brilliance came in the 56th minute when he surged down the flank before delivering a precise cross that was headed home by defender Mostafa El Zenary to break the deadlock.
National Bank of Egypt grew in confidence after the opener and doubled their lead in the 79th minute through striker Ahmed Amin Oufa.
Midfielder Mahmoud Emad then sealed the points with a composed finish six minutes from time, capping off a dominant performance by the visitors.
