The Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) Referees Appointment Committee has released the list of officials for Matchday 1 of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League, which kicks off on Friday, September 12.
The season opener between Hearts of Oak and newly promoted Hohoe United at the Accra Sports Stadium will be handled by referee Daniel Laryea, with assistants Seth Abletor and Alex Osam. Emmanuel Graham will serve as fourth referee, while Felix Adjetey Sowah takes charge as Match Commissioner.
Other high-profile fixtures include Berekum Chelsea vs Asante Kotoko at Golden City Park on Saturday, officiated by Reginald Collins Amoah, and Heart of Lions vs Dreams FC on Sunday at Kpando, overseen by Julian Nunoo.
The GFA has also assigned Venue Media Officers and cameramen for each match to ensure smooth operations and enhanced media coverage.
Defending champions Gold Stars begin their title defence against Bechem United at Dun’s Park on Saturday.
