
Ivorian referees will handle Asante Kotoko’s CAF Confederation Cup first preliminary round clash with Nigerian side Kwara United in Accra.
The centre referee Patrick Tanguy Jean Philippe will be supported by compatriots Nouho Ouattara and Lancine Kone, with Ibrahim Kalilou Traore serving as the fourth official for the much-anticipated clash.
Meanwhile, experienced Gambian official Bakary K. Jammeh has been appointed as the Match Commissioner, with Sierra Leone’s Sanusie Rashid serving as the Referee Assessor.
The Porcupine Warriors returns to Africa for the first time since 2022 following their success in the Ghana FA Cup competition last season.
Kotoko will play host to their Nigerian counterparts on September 21, 2025 in the first leg clash set to be held at the Accra Sports before the return fixture in Nigeria from September 26 to 28.
The Ghanaian giants are aiming to make a meaningful impact as they mark their return to the continental stage. The Ghanaian giants will face Moroccan powerhouse Wydad Casablanca in the second preliminary round if they are able to triumph over Kwara United.
