
Cyprus Women's First Division champions Apollon Ladies have completed the signing of Ghanaian youngster Mariam Yunus.
The talented forward signed a deal to join Apollon Ladies from Ghanaian side Rock Ladies Football Club.
"We are excited to welcome Ghanaian talent Mariam Yunus to the squad, who arrives from Rock Ladies Football Club. Signing her first professional contract at just 17 years old is a proud milestone for Mariam and her family," wrote the club confirming her arrival.
The 17-year-old expressed excitement after inking her first professional deal while hoping to make a huge impact at the club.
"“I used to pray for moments like this when I was younger. I’m grateful and excited to be here at Apollon Ladies. To sign my first professional contract at such a big club is very special to me," she said.
"The coaches are great and I know I’ll grow and develop well here. I try my best to entertain the fans because that’s what football is all about, and I will do my best to help the team. I will fight for the badge!”
Yunus could make her debut for the club in the Women's UEFA Champions League game against YB Frauen on August 30.
