Experienced Ghanaian tactician Mas-Ud Didi Dramani says he was inspired to take over Hearts of Oak coaching job because the leadership of the club were ready for a purposeful change.
The former Black Stars assistant coach recently joined the Ghanaian giants, replacing Ivorian gaffer Aboubakar Ouattara at the end of the 2024/25 football campaign.
The former Asante Kotoko and Black Maidens coach penned a two-year contract, keeping him at the club until 2027.
Explaining why he accepted Hearts of Oak’s coaching job, Didi Dramani said, “I’m a professional, devoid of my passion and soft touch. I like to see things done in a right way. I had a thorough discussion with the club as to why they wanted me and I realized they were ready for a purposeful change”
The Phobians enjoyed a fairly good campaign during the 2024/25 Ghanaian football season. Despite missing out on a trophy, the team’s top-four finish in the Ghana Premier League was an improvement from the previous campaign, where the team almost suffered relegation.
After the improvement, Hearts of Oak are now aiming to win the Ghana Premier League in the 2025/26 season under the new coach.
The 2025/26 Ghana Premier League will kick off on the weekend of September 12.
