Black Queens striker Princella Adubea has praised her teammates for their outstanding performance at the recently concluded 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) tournament.
After a poor start to the tournament, Ghana annexed a bronze medal after finishing in third place for the first time since 2016.
Speaking during an interview with Adom TV, Adubea expressed her admiration for the quality of players in the current squad, attributing the team’s success to the depth and balance across all positions.
“The quality of the Black Queens team is very high, from the goalkeeping department to the attackers. All the players have genuine talents,” she stated.
The Black Queens will hope to secure a ticket for the edition of the WAFCON and a semifinal spot qualify them for the Women's World Cup in Brazil.
Meanwhile, President Mahama and the Minority in Caucus in Parliament have all made donations to the team for their heroic performances.
