RB Leipzig are keeping hopes high for a full comeback from Benjamin Henrichs in October as the German-Ghanaian defender continues his long recovery journey.
The 28-year-old, sidelined since December due to a torn Achilles tendon, has not yet rejoined team training. While early suggestions pointed to an August return, club insiders now confirm that Leipzig’s medical team expects Henrichs to hit full stride in October.
There’s no rush from the club. Leipzig remains cautious, aiming to ease the full-back into action without setbacks. The plan is to gradually increase his workload in the coming weeks.
Henrichs has already made strides. After a focused two-week rehab at the Red Bull Performance Center in Los Angeles, he returned to the training grounds in Leipzig. Although he hasn’t taken part in full team sessions yet, he was spotted working with the ball alone but determined.
Leipzig fans will be eager to see his return, but for now, it’s all about patience and progress as Henrichs builds toward a strong comeback.
