Berekum Chelsea have bolstered their squad ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season with the capture of experienced goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi, GHANASoccernet.com can confirm.
The shot-stopper joins the Blues on a permanent deal after a period as a free agent. Antwi, who has previously featured for Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak brings top-level experience and leadership to the Berekum-based side.
The move marks a significant boost for Chelsea’s goalkeeping department as they aim to challenge higher up the league table this season. The club believes Antwi’s presence will solidify their backline and provide competition in the squad.
Antwi is no stranger to the Ghana Premier League, having played for Wa All Stars, Medeama SC, Kotoko, and Hearts of Oak. He also featured for the Black Satellites and Black Meteors, and was once regarded as one of the most promising shot stoppers in the country.
Antwi is expected to begin training with his new teammates this week and could make his debut in Berekum Chelsea’s preseason friendlies.
