Hearts of Oak have reportedly ended their interest in highly rated defensive midfielder Nana Kusi Asante after transfer negotiations with Vision FC collapsed.
Although both parties had initially reached a gentleman’s agreement, talks broke down due to Vision FC’s high asking price. The Phobians made an offer for the 19-year-old, but the significant difference in valuation between the two clubs halted progress, forcing Hearts to pull out of the deal.
Kusi, who was a standout performer in his debut Ghana Premier League season, is now expected to remain at Vision FC until his contract expires at the end of the 2025/26 campaign. He made 28 league appearances last season and was instrumental in Vision’s midfield, earning widespread praise for his composure, passing range, and defensive awareness.
Kusi’s domestic performances have sparked interest from other clubs and positioned him as one of the most promising young talents in Ghanaian football.
With Hearts of Oak out of the picture, the midfielder will continue his development at Vision FC, awaiting fresh opportunities next season.
